Tricks give you access to game abilities that are otherwise not available. (They're the gatekeepers to things like magic and uncommon racial abilities.)

- Combat Medic - Allows for faster healing (but I don't want to make skill healing take over)
- Surgery - For "bigger" healing and fixing major wounds

Each language is another "trick". Every character starts with at least one language.

- Identify Magic - Allows to to understand what a magic item is
- Read Magic - Allows you to use scrolls
- Racial Magic - Each race will have their own spells, some will be level determined, others will be more like cantrips

Talents are bonuses to activities. (If you want to be competent in something that's typically tough to do, a talents is the key.)

Health[]
- The first two levels add an wound box at the lowest level
- The third level adds an extra wound box at the second level
Shield[]
- First level allows the character to use small shields and bucklers to their full extent, and without penalties
- Second level allows the character to use normal shields to their full extent without penalties
- Third level allows the character to use tower shields to the full extent without penalties
Weapons (Melee/Ranged)[]
This can be taken for either Melee or Ranged weapons. It can be taken for both, but the levels are kept separate for each.
- First level allows the character to use martial weapons
- Second level allows the character to use great weapons
- Third level allows the character to use advanced weapons
